As most people are aware, the world security situation has changed in recent times. The risk of government and civilian organisations becoming involved in hostage situations is ever increasing with hostage taking estimated to be a £1 billion industry as of 2014.
While there are numerous private sector training organisations that teach hostage survival, the majority are either US or UK based and can often charge high fees for even a basic level of training.
VTG aims to bridge this and conduct hostage training for any person who feels they may be employed or exposed to a high risks of hostage taking without having to either travel vast distances or pay for a company to fly to New Zealand to conduct their packages.
A one day theory package covering the phases of hostage taking, some case studies and coping strategies while in captivity.
A three day package covering in depth theoretical training followed by a series of staged workshops coving the phases of hostage taking. This includes role-playing and allows some time for students to practice the skills that have been taught.
A five day package covering a tailored theoretical phase followed by a realistic hostage taking scenario. This package is suitable for high risk individuals travelling to areas where hostage taking is frequent.
